WHAT WE DO
​
1. The REC is excited to provide "resource navigation" and "resource advocacy" that empower individuals toward self-sufficiency! We're dedicated to uplifting those who have or are at risk of criminal records, experiencing homelessness, living with disabilities, adults over 55, families, veterans, youth, and those in poverty. Together, we can foster social, economic, and political engagement for a brighter, more inclusive future!
2. Creating Black History and Legacy programs that inspire minority children to take pride in their culture and history.
3. Entrepreneurship, along with self-promotion, fosters individual growth and enables financial independence.
4. Advocating for justice reform and supporting reentry through stable housing, employment, and job placement.
5. Promoting access to affordable housing, stable food supply, quality education, healthcare, and awareness of voting rights.

HOW WE DO IT
​
1. The REC aims to promote civic engagement and social empowerment by organizing workshops and community resource events that educate and share local and national information affecting underserved communities.
2. Through community awareness campaigns that cover topics such as education reform, criminal justice (reentry and transition support), financial literacy, and economic and personal responsibility.
3. Hosting Community Resources Events, through the identification of local and state-wide services, workshops/training that focus on building self-independence and personal ownership.
4. Building a sense of community and family engagement through collaboration with Community Service Partners (CSP).
