She is approved for unemployment benefits, yet never receives a dime, unable to find out why. Her savings evaporates. Living in a hotel on donated meals, she reaches out to a Resource Advocate who knows how to tackle missing unemployment checks and connects Cora to safe housing, SNAP, and employment opportunities. Most importantly, she follows up, ensuring that this time, benefits are received. Back on her feet, Annie volunteers as a Resource
Advocate so she can help others like her.
